Colori is contributing to Susan Fredman’s admirable charitable efforts with Designs for Dignity. Colori donated paint to Growing Home, one of the many projects of Designs for Dignity. The paint was utilized for Growing Home's new Urban Training Center at 5814 S. Wood St.

In addition, Colori is a proud supporter of Designs for Dignity’s annual "Spirit Awards" on May 14 which honors industry partners and individuals for their contributions to Designs For Dignity and the non-profit community. Buy your tickets.

Founded in 2000 by Chicago interior designer Susan Fredman, ASID, Designs for Dignity of the Heartland Alliance provides pro bono design services to Heartland program sites as well as other area nonprofits in order to create interiors that reflect dignity, hope, and comfort.

In early March Colori launched its ColoriFul new website. The site, a culmination of many months of planning, engages and educates Colori customers and interested professionals in the community.  The website, designed by the dynamic, creative, & kind team at Domanus Interactive, was coordinated to reflect Colori’s deeply held belief that buying eco-friendly paint need not be limiting, nor bland, but instead should and can be inspiring, modern, fun and informative.

If you are trying to make a small bedroom look larger use soft blues or greens. Try Salt Water C2-463 by C2 paint, a cool neutral with a whisper of sea green. Keep in mind that warm colors advance while cool colors recede. Other tips: lighting is key—try hanging a mirror near a window where natural light can be reflected, paint your trim &ceiling 25%-50% lighter than the walls and don’t over furnish the space.

Most spas choose colors such as warm neutrals around which they'll base their decor. Why? These colors are very restful. Browns are very earthy and make us feel safe while whites are clean, fresh and pure. If earthy isn't your thing, stick with soothing pastels in your spa bathroom. Using primary colors- which can be beautifully vibrant - is much more energizing. Though exciting, this isn't the effect you want in a calming retreat.

It's a black-black and engulfing, beautiful deep black. It's devious. If you want to cut the impact, start with one wall for a sleek focal point. Or go with a black that has blue or green undertones. They look black at night but give off a hue during the day. They're really sexy.
